These photos are from April, me working at Designroom, and taking my own photos just like most of the time. :)
I am not sure if we can wear something like this in a more formal office, but it is worth giving a shot! It is not always the easiest thing to dress up like this in Istanbul. As I listen to my customers' concers, most of them are looking for a bit longer skirts, a bit less sheer tops, a bit less shiny things... My Miami customer Hande, for example, is telling me that these styles are perfect for Miami. And she bought things by saying "ok this is for Miami, and that is for Istanbul".
You know what, I do not like to think about the styles I wear with the thought of "oh, if I wear this, lots of men will look at me, what would they think of me.. and they will piss me off, so let me not wear it" Well Turkish guys, get used to it!
We are wearing short skirts and sheer tops in Istanbul...and you're going to have to deal with it!
Because this is our freedom of choosing how we would like to see ourself. Let us be us! :)
PS: I wish I had more patterned bralets, so that I can match them with my other colorful pants.. :)

Bu şeffaf gömlekle desenli büstiyerin birlikteliğini seviyorum. Hele bir de renkli pantolon da eklendi mi, olay tamamdır benim için. Bu resimler Nisan ayının sonunda, Designroom'da bir haftasonu çalışırken ve kendi fotoğraflarımı çektiğim bir zamandan, çoğu zaman olduğu gibi. :)
Daha resmi bir ofise bu şekilde giyinilir mi emin değilim, ama belki de denemeye değer!
İstanbul'da her zaman bu tarz giyinmek o kadar kolay olmuyor. HEr geçenm gün müşterilerimin dikkat ettikleri şeyleri de dinledikçe, görüyorum herkesin bazı sınırlamaları var: daha uzun etek olsun, daha az iç göstersin, daha az parlasın...vb.
Öte yandan Miami'de yaşayan müşterim Hande ise, bu tarz kıyafetlerin Miami için çok uygun olduğunu söylüyor. Ve kendisi de "bunu İstanbul'da giyerim, bunu Miami'de giyebilirim" diye ayırarak seçimlerde bulunuyor.
Biliyor musunuz, giyinirken "ay bunu giyersem erkekler bakar, rahatsız olurum", ya da "benim hakkımda ne derler, ne düşünürler..." gibi pek düşünmem. Bu düşünce yapısı, benim olmak istediğim kişiyi engeller. Ben nasılsam, öyle de giyinebilmek isterim. Bu bize ait bir durum, bizim kendimiz olma özgürlüğümüz. Kendimi nasıl görmek istiyorsam öyle giyinebilmeliyim. Herkes için de böyle olasun isterim.
Ve sevgili Türk erkekleri, artık buna alışmanızın vakti geldi de geçiyor. Biz kızlar, İstanbul'da kısa etekler, şeffaf üstler ve parıldayan kıyafetler giymeye devam ediyoruz. Siz de bununla bir şekilde başa çıkınız, ve dibiniz düşecekmiş gibi bakmaktan da vazgeçiniz. Bizim kendimiz olmamıza izin veriniz efendim...:)
NOT: Keşke birkaç tane daha olsun da böyle desenli büstiyerim, diğer renkli pantolonlarımla giyebileyim.
