For a Weekend Breakfast-Brunch...

2 weeks ago, on Sunday, I went to City's Mahalle in order to have breakfast at Namlı Gourmet. I was pleased with every single thing I ahve eaten. I have had a one, giant breakfast with my tea and orange juice. I had a chance to have great conversation with Müge after a long time.
The other good thing about my day was that I was at City's Mahalle which is a new restaurant complex concept  for Turkey. You can find any kind of food and drink here. It is like a little town market or a bazaar, where you can either shop or sit down and hava great lunch/dinner/drink. It is inspired by Eataly in New York Union Square. In fact, Eataly is much bigger and more crowded than Mahalle. Right now, there is a reasonable crowd in Mahalle, but in the near future, I think there will be more people spending their time there. As we are living in Istanbul, we are used to caos and like it in a way. Well, at least I do, even if you don't... :)
So, to sum up, I would highly recommend you to have a breakfast at Namlı Courmet and then, have a pleasant day in City's Mahalle...

2 hafta önce Pazar günü, kahvaltıya City's Mahalle'deki Namlı Gurme'ye gittim. Her yediğimden tek tek memnun kaldım. Bakınız fotoğraflar... Çayım, portakal suyumla mükellef bir kahvaltı etmiş oldum. Müge'ciğimle de sohbet edebilecek fırsat bulmuş olduk.
Günün en güzel yanlarından biri de, kahvaltı dışındaki, Türkiye'ye yeni bir konsept olarak gelmiş olan City's Mahalle'de bulunmuş olmamdı. Kahvaltıdan dönere, dönerden biraya-şaraba... Her türlü yeme-içme türünü bulabileceğiniz, hareketli, herkesin ortak bir alanı paylaştığı mini mahalle oluşturulmuş. New York'ta, Union Square'de bulunan Eataly'den esinlenerek açılmış bir mekan. New York seyahatimde gitmiştim. Haliyle Eataly, çok daha büyük ve karmaşık bir yer. Her yerden insan fışkırıyordu adeta.:) City's Mahalle de kendine göre tatlı bir kalabalığı barındırıyor, bunun ilerleyen zamanda artacağını düşünüyorum. Şehirde yaşamaya alışan insan yapısı olarak, karmaşayı severiz çünkü, bilirsiniz. En azından ben severim... :)
Diyeceğim, ilk fırsatta Namlı Gurme'de bereketli bir kahvaltı ve City's Mahalle'de keyifli bir gün geçirmenizi öneririm...

New York Diaries - 02 - Free People Stores

I visited 2 of Free People stores in NYC, one was in Bloomingdale's and the other one was at Soho.
The image of Free People I have had through internet was same as what I found in reality. I was so glad to see it.
The stores had the most interesting and beautiful decorations among the other stores I have visited. I was pleased to be there.
I love the feeling of "careless beauty" and Free People gives me that. :)
Thank you Free People. I will keep on following you and being inspired by you... ;)

New York'ta, Free People 'ın 2 mağazasına gittim. Biri Bloomingdale'sin içindeydi, diğeri de Soho'daydı. Free People hakkında, internet vasıtasıyla kafamda oluşmuş imaj, mağazaları çıplak gözle görmemle hiç bir değişikliğe uğramadı, internette verdikleri izlenim çok doğruydu.
Ayrıca da şunun belirtmek isterim ki, gezdiğim mağazaların arasında bana en çok mutluluk veren Noel süslemelerine sahip olan yer Free People'ın mağazalarıydı.
"Zahmetsizce güzel" olma olgusunu seviyorum ve Free People bu hissi bana bolca veriyor.:)

Diamonds in the sky...of New York!- I'm back! :)

Hello Everyone!
I am back from my one week vacation... It's always good to be back, but this time, not as much.
One week is not enough for visiting New York and the missed ones. On the other hand, it is better than nothing. :)
I'd like you to listen to Diamonds- Rihanna while reading my blog today, because I will be listening to it, especially when I am looking at the pictures of New York I took...
I think the lights of the buildings in New York seem like the diamonds in the sky... ;)
PS: very emotional song and great lyrics, I can keep listening to it all day long. and I will...

Bir haftalık tatilim bitti, döndüm... Her zaman eve dönüşü severim, ama bu sefer her zamankinden daha az oldu bu sevinç. Bir hafta, ne New York'u gezmek için, ne de özlediklerinizi görmek için yeterli. Yine de, hiç yoktan iyidir. :)
Bugün, sizden istediğim, bloguma bakarken Rihanna'nın Diamonds şarkısını dinlemeniz, çünkü ben dinliyor olacağım, özellikle de NewYork fotoğraflarıma bakarken...
Bnece, New York silüetinedeki binaların ışıkları da aynı bu şarkıdaki gibi gökyüzündeki elmasları andırıyor... ;)
Not: baya duygusal bir şarkı, sözlerini de ayrıca çok seviyorum. Tüm gün bıkmadan arka arkaya dinleyebilirim. ve dinleyeceğim...
